Legato Networker cluster backup

Greetings,

I have a Tru64 5.1A cluster that I would like to backup using Legato
Networker. The Networker server is located on a seperate standalone
machine.

The Networker client is installed on the cluster, with /nsr being a CDSL.

When the Networker server initiates a backup, it connects to the cluster
alias. I suspect the actual machine it connects to is round robin based
on selw, selp for the cluster alias.

As this cluster has an ethernet interconnect instead of memory channel,
this will result in a lot of interconnect traffic due to the networker
client accessing some file system that are being served by the other
cluster members.

Is there an way to configure it so to minimise interconnect traffic while
the backup is taking place?

Should the networker client be running on all cluster members?

Roger.
