Admins,

I recently downloaded the newest version of Insight Manager (3.0) from
Compaq's website and installed it on one of our Alphas running Tru64 4.0g.
The installation went without a hitch, but when I attempt to start the
daemons for the service, I run into a problem. The snmpd daemon runs as it
should, but insightd is refusing to start. If I start it manually, it'll
run for about 10 seconds and then shut down. I checked the logs, and here
is the error I'm seeing:

SECURITY ERROR Severity=1
Unable to load certificate file during SSL Server Initialization

I looked through the documentation for Insight Manager, and I'm almost
certain that this "certificate" the log is referring to is the PEM file that
is built by Insight Manager the first time you attempt to start it. The
file that should be created is /var/opt/CPQIM300/web/im/cert.pem. I checked
in that directory, and the file was nowhere to be found. Thinking it was a
permissions problem, I opened up the permissions on that directory as a test
and then tried to start insightd, but there was no change. The
troubleshooting documentation in the Insight Manager guide does not cover a
problem such as this. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks,
