I'm not 100% sure what fixed the problem but it is fixed. I tried to set up
a serial console but it hung after a few lines. I opened the case and
pushed on the scsi cards, even though they didn't seem loose. After doing
that the system booted fine. So I guess pushing on the scsi cards must have
done it.
