After a lot of try this....try this...... the problem was with the firmware
version on our 2 gigabyte switches!!! The switches came with v3.02.c and
we updated them to v3.02.f and the the system booted up in the cluster
fine!!

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Original Question was:

I have a cluster question/problem. I have an ES40 system and just
purchased an ES45 system. The ES45 system will boot up off of our cluster
disk - but I can't get the ES40 to boot up off of it. I don't get any
error messages at all....it just hangs. It looks like it can read the
genvmunix. I am running 5.1A. I can boot the ES40 up off of another drive
- just not the cluster drive!! I did add it to the cluster so I am not
sure what's going on? Waiting for Compaq to call me back - has anyone run
into this??
