Dear Managers,
We have traditionally used Compaq (DEC) storage with VMS and Unix
clusters. One of our customers wants us to use EMC storage - it seems
they already have a fairly large array with 16GB of cache memory!
Do any of you have experience running Tru*64 clusters (v 5.1 ) with
EMC storage. We will be required to run Oracle 9i with parallel
servers. One our archiects has concern whether the Direct I/O
capability supported by v5.1 and required by Oracle 9i will work etc
etc. I don't think anything in Tru*64 requires the use of HSG80
controllers.... would like to hear some confirmation of this. The EMC
storage will be FibreChannel based.
