DNS issues

This is probably a generic UNIX issue, but it is on a DEC Unix 4.0e box.

I have the resolv.conf file setup properly, the network is reachable, I
can ping remote machines by IP, but I can't ping by name. If I do
`nslookup www.dell.com`, I get a name service response. I don't know
what the issue could be.

Ideas?
