Does anyone know if this implementation is compatible with Cisco
EtherChannel?

Thanks for the quick answers!

Link Aggregation is not supported in 5.1 , but is supported in 5.1A patch
kit 1.

1.4 Link Aggregation Support

This release supports network link aggregation, or trunking. Administrators
can combine two or more physical Ethernet Network Interface Cards (NICs) to
create a link aggregation group. The upper-layer software sees this link
aggregation group as a single logical interface. Link aggregation provides
the following capabilities:

Increased network bandwidth, depending on the number and type of NICs

Load distribution across all ports of a link aggregation group

Failure detection and and failover for DEGPA and DE60x NICs

Link aggregation is supported only on server-to-server and server-to-switch
point-to-point connections.

See the Network Administration: Connections manual for information on
configuring link aggregation groups.
See lag(7) for additional information about link aggregation.
