Hello managers
 We have a 500/333 alpha workstation running digital
unix 4.0B configured as a file server and it is
working fine from past 3 years.
Yesterday the system has crashed with the following
messages on var/adm/messages and kern.log
Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: kernel inst fault=opdec,
ps=0x0, pc=0xfffffc0002bdf00
Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: panic (cpu 0) : trap:
illegal instruction
Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: syncing disks ...done
Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: device string for
dump=SCSI 0 9 0 0 0 0 0
Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: DUMP.prom: dev SCSI 0 9

Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: device string for dump =

Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: DUMP.prom: dev SCSI 0 9

Aug 22 11:22:14 mars vmunix: Alpha boot: available
memory from 0xdb0000 to 0x3f6000
Then it booted with normal messages.This is third time
happening in last 2 months.
I checked memory and run memory exerciser and it
didn't show any errors.
Can any one suggest me what could be wrong
waiting for ur replies
regards
