thanks for the promp reply.
I eventually managed to delete the file using rm -i * command.
This one worked for me but there are others ways as well.
I also tried GUI file manager as well as using escape character for ?.

Hi Dharmendra,
I don't know where this file came from, but to delete it you can try:
rm \?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?\?
or alternatively:
rm -i *
and press y at the appropriate file.
