How to check the NIS maps work

Hi T64 Managers,

I have set up 2 machines, 4.0F: 1 is NIS master & another is NIS client.
I copied only 2 files /etc/passwd and /etc/services into /var/yp/src on a NIS
master.
After the NIS setup, I checked the NIS whether it worked on the passwd.
Yes the passwd map was distributed (worked).
But I donot know how to check the services map whether it worked.

Any idea, please help.
