Looking for logs on a 4100..

Good Morning Everyone!

I need to take a deep look at a 4100 running 4.0D and its logs. But under
the /var/adm directory there are various logs but syslog does not seem to
contain very much. Can someone let me know what and where I can find logs
which will point me to hardware problems on this system?
