TZ89 Firmware Update

Hello all,

I am trying to update the firmware on our TZ89 tape drives but have had no
success. I'm using an image given to me by our field engineer with the name
DLT3570_V97_CPQ1.TZ_IMAGE

Here's what I do.

1) Insert a tape
2) Override the density to 35 and no compression
3) Run ltf -cfB /dev/tape/tape0_d2 4096 DLT3570_V97_CPQ1.TZ_IMAGE (I've
even tried the procedure on a 4.0F system with /dev/rmt0m as the device
name)
4) Eject the tape (Note: I can put the tape back in and it reads as
35/uncomressed)
5) Follow the procedure to update the firmware. Hold the unload button
until the write protect button flashes, quickly press the unload button
again so that write protect and tape in use flash.
6) Insert the tape and wait. The tape stays loaded so it's failed. It also
says it's now a 35/comressed tape.

I eject and put the tape back in as a regular load and it's still a
35/comressed!!!

I repeat the procedure again and put the write protect tab on after the
initial write. Same result!

Am I going mad or is there a step or two I'm missing?

Much Appreciated.

Damien.
