Hi,

i've here a two node cluster (2 ES40) with tru64 5.1A patchkit 2.
Clusterinterconnect is realized with a netrain (two gigabit ethernet nics).
Networkconnectivity is realized with a gigabit ethernet interface per
cluster member.
Backbone are two cisco catalysts 6500 (each cluster member is connected to
one catalyst).
The catalysts are configurated to be failover resistant. (eg one catalyst
can fail)

If i open the clusterconsole i will get a "yellow" state sign for network
and the following error message:

niffd:: alt2 has declared a connectivity alert with network 192.168.7.0 via
interface alt2

After the error message appears i can still open a ftp session to the server
( 192.168.7.6) .

What does the niffd messages mean?
Anybody with the same problem out there?

btw.: I've played around with niffconfig and i'm able to disable monitoring
by niffd and the error
messages will not display :-)))

thank you
