Hi managers,
I'm currently trying to compile samba 2.2.5 on a AS1200 with v4.0f-pk6.
configure went ok. Nothing strange.
The make (actually I use gmake) process came out with the following warning.
cc: Info: include/includes.h, line 1080: In this statement, the declaration for
intrinsic function "snprintf" referenced at line number 595 in file
smbd/server.c, parameter number 2 is of type "unsigned long", which is not
consistent with the expected type "long". It will be treated as an ordinary
external function. (intrinsicdecl)
int snprintf(char *,size_t ,const char *, ...) PRINTF_ATTRIBUTE(3,4);
--------------------^
Since I compiled 2.2.3a successfully (after applying the patch mentioned in
http://www.ornl.gov/its/archives/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/2002/02/msg00385.html).
I didn't expect that there would be any problems at all. This warning is
diffrent to the symptoms reported in
http://www.ornl.gov/its/archives/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/2002/07/msg00448.html
Since I have v4.0f running I guess the solution in
http://www.ornl.gov/its/archives/mailing-lists/tru64-unix-managers/2002/07/msg00454.html
is not an option for me.
Any help is very appreciated.
TIA
