SUMMARY:how many blocks read at a time by OS

ANSWER:
                Tru64 reads in 8K blocks.... and it aggregates reads and
writes up to 64K chunks, depending upon what's happening.

                I/O is done using the native
                page size, which is 8K bytes.

QUESTION:

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to increase the number of blocks read
at a time in Operating System 5.1 pk#4?? I've been told at this time the
system reads 2k blocks at a time and that
they would like to increase? Any information would help.
