The CERT advisory mentioned in the title (for details
see http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2002-19.html)
describes problems in resolver libraries inheriting from Bind code.
The Compaq response (dated June 28 2002) gives it a reference
code of x-refSSRT2270, and says that Compaq is investigating.
I haven't received any mailings about this from Compaq (patches
or otherwise) and am a little concerned that the matter is still
up in the air; usually Compaq has been good and fast about clarifying the
status of CERT advisories.
Does anyone have information that they can share on this?
