IPC priorities

Hi Managers,

SYS: Compaq Alpha, DS10. Tru64 5.1

My DB crashed yesterday. This doesn't happen often but when it does it's always the
same error. A DB process in the IPC queue disappears.

The DB is a proprietary database so there isn't much documentation around. The
processes are started at boot time from /sbin/rc3.d. There are 2 processes that should
continually be in the IPC Q - these are the bottom 2 in the listing below.

What I though might help is if I can make the process which generally fails a higher
priority in the IPC Q. Is there a way I could do this without trying to tangle with the
code? Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Thanx.
Dp.
