Removing a scsi device via hwmgr

I am trying to remove a scsi device from my 5.1 system.

With my 4.0f systems I was able to do the following

Unix : umount /directory
Unix : rmfdmn <domain>
hsg80, set <unit> disable_access=all
Unix : scu scan edt

By re-scanning the device would be removed from the hardware list.

But under 5.1 when I do a hwmgr -scan scsi it does not automagically remove
it for me, according
to the documentation I have to hwmgr -delete <ID>, providing that nothing is
accessing it, which I have
confirmed. So from this I have a couple of questions :

1. Can I still use "scu" under 5.1

2. Why does the "hwmgr -scan scsi" not remove the hardware, whereas "scu
scan edt" did ?

3. Is it okay to use the delete command "hwmgr -delete <ID>" with a live
system. I have confirmed
that the devices is not being used via hwmgr -show scsi.

Will Summarize

Thanks

Darren
