Anyone running Oracle 9iAS v2

Good Morning (and evening where appropriate) all,

We are installing Oracle 9iAS v2 (an interesting new product for our
organisation) on our two node ds20e 5.1a pk2 cluster. So far it hasn't gone
smoothly and I'm looking for any other site that has implemented Oracle 9iAS
v2 in a compaq cluster environment.

The middle tier (the webserver and oc4j instances) is in and working well,
correctly maintaining state between the oc4j instances across both nodes in
the cluster, but we cannot get the infrastructure tier to install. On the
cluster the oracle installer recognises that its being run on a cluster and
wrongly insists in trying to install as RAC, which breaks the installer in a
few places. Has anyone found a way around this?

We have also had to make /etc/emtab a cdsl to get the installer for the
middle tier to work.

I would love to hear from anyone that has done this before and can help me
placate our nervous management who hate being part of 'bleeding edge'
projects. Oracle 9iASv2 is a newish product even for Oracle. The feeling is
we will have to pull the product to a non clustered system or (worse) to a
solaris box, for which Oracle at least have a reference site in Australia.

Help !

Thanks in advance,
