Usernames greater than 8 characters

I know, twice in a day... but is anyone aware of a way to have Unix
usernames greater than 8 characters? We're running a mixed environment of
Windows and Unix and I'm trying to have some consistancy here. and I don't
want to change the Windows usernames... <grin>

Remember, you are unique... just like everyone else!
