Dear All,
I've just installed patch OSFPATC0011702445 to Tru64 4.0G and it says
* A system reboot of the patched system is required for the successfully
installed patches.
To me this seems barmy: the patch has only supplied one file /usr/bin/ipcs
and no processes are executing this. Am I right in thinking this advice
was written by someone with a lawyer looking over his shoulder and has no
relevance to the real world where reboots are to be avoided if at all
possible?
