Didn't get to much response on this one.
Got the following from Felix Maurer though which I'm currently looking into:
As far as I know, the extension .ddif belongs to DECwrite.
If this is the case DEC provided CDA (at least under OpenVMS) to perform
DECwrite conversion. There was also a product called Keypak. I have no idea
if all these products exist on Tru64?
