gcc 2.95.3 on Tru64 5.1

Hi All

Has anyone managed to get gcc 2.95.3 going under Tru64 5.1?

I found Compaq's version of 2.97 but that core dumped on anything much
mre complicated than "hello world"

I had a version of 2.95.2 I had built under 5.0 but that also had odd
problems

The Written Word tells me it isn't possible.

We have a large app we really don't have resources to convert to gcc
3.04 right now.

Can anyone help?

When I try and build gcc 2.95.3 this is what I get:

I set CC to the Compaq cc and then run

./configure after having edited {base dir of unpacked gcc
tarball}gcc/configure to recognise Tru64 5.x as well as 4 - as
recommended to get gcc 2.95.2 to build under 5.0.

Then I did a make bootstrap which gave loads and loads of output
culminating in what I've put in below.

And and all help much appreciated - I'll let you know what I find out.

Cheers,

Irvine
