TruCluster V1.6 and sendmail

I need to set up a TruCluster v1.6 disk service for a customers application
which also uses sendmail to send out confirmation letters. My question is
can sendmail be configured without using NFS? The application is being set
up so people from the outside will connect using a certain service IP
(name), which the application is licensed to.

My thoughts were to create a couple of advfs domains, one for the
application and one for mail. Then when one machine fails the disks fail
over to the other machine and the application and sendmail start. I will put
the spool and the sendmail configuration files on the mail advfs domain.

Will this work ok?
