for his suggestion. I did the following:
1. boot -fi genvmunix
2. doconfig
3. Move the vmunix from /sys/SYSTEMNAME DIR/vmunix /vminix
4. Reboot the system

My Question was:

One of the user having the following configuration:
Machine Type : COMPAQ Professional Workstation XP1000
OS : v5.1
Previous Graphic card: Elsa gloria with 8M frame buffer memory
New Card : Oxygen ..... ( I can not get the card specification
from the binary.errlog or messages
file. Only I see vga0
640x480vga 16 colors)
The user is not getting the screen resolution of 1280x1024 in CDE. I
made changes in the
necessary files as given in the manual.(/usr/dt/config/Xservers). The
driver installed is
(setld -i) PowerStorm 3x0 v1.5.1 for V5.0.
The present resolution is 640x480.
I have NOT installed any new driver after the new graphic card
installation.
How can he get a good resolution with this card?
The contents of Xservers file:
:0 Local local@console /usr/bin/X11/X :0 -screen0 1280x1024 -vsync0

Patches installed on the system came from following patch kits:
