Thanks to Elin....i have installed v3.4 on v4.0G
without any glitches.........

It really has more to do with the platform you will be
running it on.
DECevent is for the older systems, such as 2100, 4100,
8x00 etc...
Compaq Analyze is for the new hardware, es40,
gs80/160/320, ds20 etc... If
you have the right combination, you will be ok.
