Bjorn Ramqvist was the first to respond. His suggestion did it:

Other suggestions included:
a) Selective disabling of unwanted connections. The Compac docs
   say this will not prevent new connections from getting access.
b) Michael Polnick suggested the SWCC GUI, which he already used.
   Sorry, I have no idea what the SWCC GUI is. But I will RTFM :-)

Michael Polnick also said:

My controllers dual redundant.
Maybe it would not have worked with a single path setup.
