stale path to a device using hwmgr

Hi Managers,
I just upgraded one of our production servers from 4.of to 5.1. Everything
was ok. I also had the HSG80 turned on for multibus/multipath failover after
changing it from SCSI-2 to SCSI-3
( had some problems doing it while the system was in multiuser mode but that
is a different story). Now the system logs the following error

------ Packet Type ------ 256. Generic String
LIDs do not match - Removing PATH to
device

doing a #hwmgr -show scsi -full shows two paths to the same device - one
valid and the other stale

SCSI DEVICE DEVICE DRIVER NUM DEVICE FIRST
HWID: DEVICEID HOSTNAME TYPE SUBTYPE OWNER PATH FILE VALID PATH
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126: 42 host1 disk none 2 2 dsk42 [8/0/1]

      WWID:0910003c:"DEC HSZ70 (C)
DECZG74904342ZG81009938:d00t00000l00001"

BUS TARGET LUN PATH STATE
      ------------------------------
      8 0 1 valid
      7 0 1 stale

I don't know if I delete the device using the hwmgr -delete scsi -did 42
will work or is there another easier way of using dsfmgr and changing the
stale path

thanks in advance

L. Prasad
