LOOKING INSIDE A PID: Followup- has anyone used dcpi?

I have gotten a few responses (thanks to those for your input). It sounds
like people are using dcpi successfully. I have been using it tonight, and
it is quite a nice tool. I can see what process or program is using the
largest percentage of the CPU. From there, I can break that program down
into its specific processes, and which ones are taking the must cpu time.

QUESTION:

I am now trying to tie these top processor hogs to a process id. Is there
anyway to do that? i.e.- how can i take the PIDs/names from ps aux, and
find out what is really being run? It's easy if its just a singe instance
application or process like /usr/local/top or something. But if all it says
is ORACLE, it's not so cut and dry.

I'll summarize the whole thing.
