Pretty easy fix here -- go to cdrom, navigate to /ALPHA/BASE, and issue
setld -l . OSFADVFSDAEMON520.

Hi,

I just completed an upgrade to 5.1A and applied the just released PK2. Now
I can't start advfsd:

        /sbin/rc3.d/S53advfsd start
        resolve_symbols: loader error: dlopen: /usr/sbin/advfsd: symbol
"advfs_get_namei_stats" unresolved
        Cannot start advfsd, see /var/opt/advfsd/logs/advfsd

I don't see any entry in /var/opt/advfsd/logs/advfsd regarding this.

If I issue:

        setld -l | grep ADVFS

I get:

root@thor==> setld -i|grep ADVFS
OSFADVFS520 installed AdvFS Commands (System
Administration)
OSFADVFSBIN520 installed AdvFS Kernel Modules (Kernel
Build Environment)
OSFADVFSBINOBJECT520 installed AdvFS Kernel Objects (Kernel
Software Development)
OSFADVFSDAEMON520 not installed AdvFS Daemon (System
Administration)

So I presume all I need to do is install OSFADVFSDAEMON520.

>From / I issue:

        root@thor==> find . -name OSFADVFSD*

and get:

So I went to the directory /usr/var/cluster/... and issued:

        setld -l OSFADVFSDAEMON520

and got a message:

        setld: Device OSFADVFSDAEMON520 not supported for installations.
        setld: cannot initialize OSFADVFSDAEMON520

What am I missing/doing wrong?

Is it an LMF issue? I have an entry in LMF for AdvFS Utilities --

        Product Name: ADVFS-UTILITIES
