gcc 3.1 on Tru64 5.1

I am trying to install 3.1 on Tru64 5.1. Everything compiles and builds
fine but when you run a simple program you get the following when you
execute the code....

a.out: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: Cannot map library libstdc++.so

I compiled 3.1 with both cc and gcc and get the same results. I read in
the docs that if you go from 2.xx to 3.xx you have to recompile the
libstdc++ stuff as well.

Anyone else run into problems with 3.1?
