Subject: SCSI ids and fast/wide
I'm more or less looking for some quick confirmation here. On a fast/wide
SCSI, I can have SCSI ids up to 15? I just got a small StorageWorks box
with two drives in it to add to a system on the FW bus. (all my disks are
JBOD) I already have 4 external plus whatever is internal, one or two
drives. I image I should set the IDs on the two new drives to be 8 and
9. Would this be a proper course of action?
I did leave out that I am running Tru64 and V5.1. Everyone has said to be
sure that you are running at least the Version 5 stuff to get the OS
support for 15 IDs.
