Hi Manager's,

i'm a little bit confused:

I got several ST1181677LC/LCV with 4 MB Cache and 16 MB Cache (me was told).

But when i'm using SeaToolsEnterprise from SEAGATE on my PC i see:

Number of Cache Segments 1, 3, 16 and i cold increase on one disk to 64 !!!!

A member of Seagate (which is now at holiday) told me:

3*1,33 = 4 MB Cache
12*1,33 = 16 MB Cache 1,33 is a factor.

but why i got a disk with settings to 1?

According to this: a disk me was told is a 16 MB Cache disk,
settings was 3 Cache Segments!!!!!

And what does it mean 64 Cache Segments?

Additional: Should i change the Performance Mode to Server Mode? Some disks
came with Desktop Mode and some with Server Mode.

                        Thanks for help, Harald
