patch install problem - oracle 8.0.6.x

Hello!
I am trying to apply a patch on an Oracle database version 8.0.6.0 (to 8.0.6.3). In fact I have 5 databases created.
I fixed all file privileges, ownership, etc. but I still apply the patch and it doesn't show to be applied at the end (and there is no log with error).
I wonder if there is any special configuration I should do...
Does anyone has ever had this experience or could guess what is going on?
