Changing graphics card ...

Hi,

What has to be done/changed (kernel, configuration files, ...) whe the
graphic card is changed on a system running 4.0f? In detail: the old
card is an ELSA Gloria Synergy, the new one an 3dlabs Oxygene VX1. I
know that i have to use the last updates but how do I configure the
system for the new card?
