I received alot of great information, some specific and some less so - I
still have to sift through it but I think for starters I will do something
homegrown using hsxterm to get something in place. There were some
recommendations for StorageWorks Command Console and Compaq Analyze (and
some others) so I plan on evaluating how those fit in. The one thing that's
been frustrating thus far is catching a binary error type event that reports
a device failure. It always seems to be more cryptic than that but I'll
test some more in the 'lab'. Thanks for all the feedback - if I come up
with something of epic proportions I'll pass it along.

Forgot to mention - most of my systems are Tru64 4.0D or G, though we do
have one system at 5.0A (it is using EVM).
