My sincere apologies if I have missed someone.

My original question in short was.
-----------------------------------------------

How to Install Single Instance Oracle 9i on Compaq TruCluster 5.1a. Wanted
to do 2 installation of Oracle 9i on 2 different mount points, one from each
node. For example installation oracle from node1 for production use and from
node installing
for development use. ( This is not a 9i Real Application Cluster
Installation).

Following is the final consensus for the Installation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. CDSL should be created for /var/opt/oracle and /usr/local/bin directory
to store oracle inventory for each node.
2. Create 2 oracle users and 2 groups for oracle inventory.
3. Follow the Platform specific installation guide.
4. while installation make sure that 9i RAC installation check box is
unchecked and do not select additional
node when prompted, just click on NEXT.
5. Following link gives valuable information for the installation.
