Hello,
Is anyone else running Web Crossing (WebX) on a Tru64 UNIX system? Web
Crossing is a online community/discussion/forum application. It won an
award in 1998,
http://builder.cnet.com/webbuilding/pages/Business/1998Awards/ss16.html.
We have been running WebX for a number of years but the Lundeen &
Associates folks (www.lundeen.com or www.webcrossing.com), developers
of WebX, dropped Tru64 UNIX support with their latest 4.1 release.
Lundeen recommends moving WebX to a supported platform, for example Sun
Solaris. I am still trying to get them to continue Tru64 UNIX support,
however.
A Compaq employee contacted the Lundeen Sales VP in February of this
year and was told that Lundeen would continue to support Tru64 UNIX --
the VP apparently neglected to inform the rest of the company.
Is anyone else running WebX (could we be the only WebX/Tru64 customer in the
known universe)?
What are some good alternatives to WebX?
