SCM commands from Tru64? (GS160)

Hi,
is there a way to trigger serial console commands (SCM) directly from
Tru64 ?
I could connect a loopback null modem cable from one serial port to the
other, then send the esacpe sequence ^^SCM and after that sent the SCM
command i'm after, but.........no!
