Hi,
I have smtp ( sendmail ) and pop3 server on Solaris 5.6 machine ( 300 Mhz ,
256MB ) which serves ~400 users
Sometime ( lately quite frequently ) the users has to wait many seconds before
the mail is sent/retrieve mails. There are cases of mailer timeout when trying
to send/receive mail.
There are not too much TIME_WAIT open sessions and I increased the default
hash size to 2k.
Also , there are no indication of I/O/memory bottelnecks.
Any idea ?
Thanks !
