Hi Sunmanagers,
I am facing this problem at one of my Customer sites.
While doing ls or ls -la or ls -latr, I am unable to see contents of the
directory. I only tells me the total size of files in that dir.
Please see below:
# cd /baan4c4/bse/tmp
# ls -l
total 873990 ##### Unable to see the contents
Plz check the file path and size for ls command.
#/usr/bin
# ls -l ls
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 17440 Jul 15 1997 ls
# cd /usr/xpg4/bin
# ls -l ls
total 5400
-r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 17448 Jul 15 1997 ls
# cd /usr/ucb
# ls -l ls
total 1176
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 13220 Jul 15 1997 ls
# uname -a
SunOS app-erp 5.6 Generic_105181-30 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4
I had posted this query sometime back. after doing echo * on pwd, it started
working for some time but the problem has reoccured.
/baan4c4/bse/tmp contains lots of files an I need to remove them regularly.
Does solaris 2.6 Generic_105181-30 have any limitation of number of files one
can create in the directory.
