Creating a VXVM standby boot disk

Weird question, but anyway--

Veritas vxvm is used to mirror the boot disk on the Sun 420R
I want to create a standby boot disk, in case the O/S fails.
What is the easiest way to create a copy of the root disk on another disk?
Root, usr, var, and home are encasulated/mirrored on disks 0 and 1.

Thanks
