Hello list,
I am currently in the process of improving the platform monitoring for
my organization. I'd like to solicit some feedback on the Sun
Management console and if it is a tool that can be used for proactive
hardware monitoring. (HDD failure, PS failure, etc) My goal is to
provide the same level of service on the SPARC platform I currently have
on the Intel platform with HP Insight Manager Foundation agents. Is the
Management console the way to go for this type of proactive hardware
monitors?
A simple tech question about the Management Console:
How the heck do you start the GUI? Is it done via one of the es-
scripts in the /opt/SUNWsymon/sbin directory?
