Ok, thanks for the initial responses - using O MaxMessageSize=nnnnn in the
sendmail.cf
What concerns me though is that this (according to Costales & Allman,
Sendmail, O'Reilly) only works if the SIZE keyword to the ESMPT MAIL command
is specified by the incoming email. So a couple more questions:-
- will MaxMessageSize work for outgoing emails?
- what happens if SIZE is 0 or not specified?
- anyone know if SIZE is something that is common or uncommon?
