in.named and named.stats

Hi all

  i am running solaris 7 on sparc e220 mechine, the
mechine isacting as a dns server, and running the
"in.named" internet domain name server daemon which
comes bunduled with solaris 7 OS ,

  now my problem is the in.named is not generating
named.stats & named.memstats file ,

 do i have to enable this explicitely ? how ?
