Hi there,
How do I install a Sun 9.1 GB drive on an old SS4?
I have an 9.1 GB Solaris 2.8 disk I would like to
put onto my old SS4 at home. Unfortunately,
when I tried to put in the system, probe-scsi doesn't
recognize the drive (but it sees the CDROM on the same
SCSI bus (but if I put in the 2 GB disk drive,
it sees it). This 9.1 GB disk is taken from a working
system (a SS5 at work).

Is there anything I need to do to make the system
recognize this disk drive? Do I need to upgrade the
OBP eeprom? I can't find any patch on sunsolve that
address this issue.
btw, the drive is a ST391202LC drive (Seagate)

Many thanks,
Tony
