wireless connection to SunRay ...

Hi,

this may seem an unusual setup we're trying to achieve, but we would like to
connect a SunRay to its server via wireless connection...

SUN always recommends a dedicated (preferrably 100mbps) segment for the
SunRays interconnect to their server, but for the little amount of SunRays I
want to setup with this wireless method, the traffic bandwidth (say 11 mpbs)
should be enough.

I have the following problems:

- the SunRay has a network card with RJ45 port, meaning that from there I
should go with a standard UTP patch cable to some device that further
handles the wireless transmission/reception; I scanned nearly the entire
Internet (sort of...) for such external, standalone RJ45-to-wireless
adapter, but cannot find any.

- there are many NICs for wireless comms, but they all will require a
specific driver to be used by the assumed intelligent computer in which the
NIC is installed. Since the SunRay is 'not intelligent' (excuse me, SUN), I
cannot have a device that requires to be driven by the 'host'.

- I could maybe use a pair of low-cost (still at 11mpbs) Access-Points, each
by definition standalone, that communicate with each other wireless, and of
which one is connected via UTP to the SunRay and the other via UTP to my
server host.

Anyone has any experience or advises about this ?

Thanks !
