Hi,

We are planing to migrate the NIS environment running at our site from HPUX
10.20 to Solaris 8, presently we are having a master server and three slave
servers all running HPUX 10.20. One approach that I can think of is to
first add one of the Solaris system as a Slave server of the domain and
then make it as the Master of the domain and then add rest of the new
Solaris systems as NIS slave (secondary) servers of the domain and remove
the HPUX NIS systems.
I would like to have your recommendations on the best method to adopt in
order to migrate the NIS from HPUX to Solaris systems, any precautions to
be taken into account or anyone of you who would have done it before, I
would like to hear your feedback on the same.

Regds,
- Rajan
