Thanks for the overwhelming response, this list is cool.
I have another question on this topic:
I am trying to backup from a client to the server where the Tape drive is connected and from the client the server is authenticated and I can run SSH commands from the client.
Client: ssh Server date (returns date) or ssh Server will login into server
I am running the following command to backup the client partitions:
Client# ufsdump 0f server:/dev/rmt/0n /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0
which returns permission denied, in the past I have used this command which always worked. Anyone have idea why it is giving these errors.
Client# ufsdump 0f Server:/dev/rmt/0n /dev/rdsk/c0t2d0s7
DUMP: permission denied
DUMP: Cannot connect to tape host `Server`
DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.
