iMS 5.2 Collection Problem

I have seen this asked before but I can't seem to find the summary
result so I am going to ask again, I am sorry if this is wrong / bad,
but I am almost at my wits end :-( We run Solaris 8 on a Sun Fire V100.
On this machine is iMS 5.2 sp1, iDS 5.1. Now the iMS server was working
perfectly fine in the past, but recently I have found users cannot
collect e-mail from their POP3 account, even if there is mail in there.
The client (outlook in this case) connects to the server, looks like it
authenticates and asks for new mail, but the server doesn't send any.
There are no errors in the iMS or syslog area's. Restarting the iMS
services will fix it for a limited time, but then it eventually drops
out again. Any idea's ??
